4.3 Use Case Specification
Definitions:
• EBR means Electronic-Book-Reader
• User A is the user of the EBR.
• Hard-arrow-keys are the Up, Down, Left, Right keys on the EBR.
• Hard-enter-button is the enter button on the EBR.
• The virtual keyboard in this context is a soft popup-keyboard that can be
navigated with hard-arrow-keys. For every character selected in the virtual
keyboard the user has to press the hard-enter-button.
• UI stands for User Interface.
• WiFiConnectivityinthiscontextisopeningupofalinkbetweentheEBR
andaWiFihotspot.
• WiFiDownloadistheopeningupofalinkbetweentheEBRanda
contentdeliveryserver.
Statement:
• Henceforth in every case, user A shall navigate through the menu and then select
an option before pressing the hard-enter-button.
UC:Searchfordocument
Allows the user to search for documents
Basic Flow of Events:
a) User A chooses to search for a document by pressing F2-hard-button.
b) A virtual keyboard that includes an input dialog appears.
c) User A enters the document title, date or size.
d) User A initiates a search by pressing hard-enter-button.
e) List of matched documents are displayed.
f) User A selects a document.
g) The selected document opens.
Alternative Flow 1:
a-d) As in Basic Flow
e) User A cancels search while in progress.
f) The database search is canceled
g) The list of already found documents is displayed.
Alternative Flow 2:
a-d) As in Basic Flow
e) There is no matching document.
f) Display document not found.
UC:Searchinsideadocument
Allows the user to search for a word within a document.
Basic Flow of events:
a)User A chooses to search inside a document by pressing F2-hard-button.
b)A virtual keyboard that includes an input dialog appears.
